This past Thursday, the 2021 calendar of ESL and DreamHack was released, where, after almost a year online only, we will even have face-to-face events. In addition to CS: GO events, ESL and DreamHack jointly unveiled the calendar for DOTA 2 events for the year 2021.

However, the big news for the organizers will be the first LAN tournament of the year, which will take place during the DreamHack Masters Spring playoffs, which is scheduled to take place on April 29, with no venue announced. Even more surprising, ESL revealed that the ESL One Cologne competition will take place in Germany, from July 6th to 18th, and will be attended by the public.

In the meantime, the first two CS: GO events, which are being organized by ESL, will be held in an online format. IEM Katowice, on the other hand, confirmed that its edition will start on February 16th and will end on the 28th, however it will not be held in LAN mode. In 2020, IEM Katowice was carried out in person, but throughout the edition it had to be suitable for the online format.

The last tournament scheduled by ESL for this year will be the ESL Pro League Season 13, which is scheduled to take place on March 8 and will end on April 11. As for the DOTA 2 events, ESL confirmed ESL One Summer and ESL One Winter, but without official dates.

The CS: GO championships were all revealed. The tournaments that will be played in the studio, without an audience, will be: IEM Summer, June 3rd to 13th; ESL Pro League Season 14, October 8th to 10th; and IEM Fall, October 14th  to 24th.

Despite this, the ESL One Cologne competition, along with three more events, projects the presence of an audience to follow the tournaments. DreamHack Atlanta, which will take place from November 12th to 14th, DreamHack Winter, which will take place from November 26th to 28th, and IEM Winter, which will take place from November 2nd to 12th, are projecting that the public presence may occur.

In addition, the DreamHack organizer is forecasting four more events for 2021, with headquarters in Valencia, Spain, Montreal, Canada, Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Haiderabade, India. However, these events do not yet have confirmed dates or a decision on the presence of the public.
